Music director Ramana Gogula arrested




Hyderabad city crime station police on Thursday arrested well known music director Ramana Gogula in connection with a cheating case. Details regarding the cheating case are yet to be known.
Ramana Gogula debuted to Tollywood with 'Premante Idhera' and later delivered many musical hits like 'Thammudu, Badri, Johnny, Lakshmi & Annavaram.' He recently formed his own production house and made "Boni" with Sumanth and sources say that this movie has incurred huge losses resulting financial troubles to Gogula

Ranas Leader Logo Launch On Nov 4th



Rana Daggubati, grandson of producers Dr D Ramanidu and son of D Suresh Babu, is  making his Telugu cinema debut with Leader under Sekhar Kammula’s direction.
Now According to Film Nagar Sources Daggupati Family is planing to Launch the logo Of  Rana's Flick Leader in a grand Style on November 4th. 
The film’s launch was held at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on January 21. It was a private affair and the media was not invited. Venkatesh, Ramanaidu, Naga Chaitanya and other family members of Ramanaidu attended the launch.
Following this, shooting began on sets at Pedanandipaadu village, specifically the Padanandipaadu Arts and Science college. Scenes involving college students and politics were shot. 
Although everyone involved with the making of the movie has stayed mum on the subject, my sources tell me that it is a political thriller along the lines of Mani Rathnam’s Yuva.

Ram Charan Orange launch in grand style




The formal launch of Ram Charan's upcoming film Orange was held at Novotel in grand style. Chiranjeevi, Dasari Narayana Rao, Venkatesh, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Bommarillu Bhaskar, Rana, Nagababu, Puri Jagannath, Krish, SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Seenu Vytla, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Gemini Kiran, Surender Reddy, KL Narayana, B Gopal, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Meher Ramesh, Vamsi Paddipally, Dil Raju, Allu Sirish and Srikanth were some of the prominent personalities who graced the occasion.
Orange is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Genelia plays the main female lead opposite Ram Charan. Kajal plays a pivotal role in the film. The film is produced by K Nagababu on Anjana Productions banner. Harish Jayaraj composes music for the film.Cinematography is by Kiran reddy of Naach fame and stunts is by Peter Heins.



Katha' audio launched in unique style



Hero NTR graced the audio launch of Katha. Produced by Urmila Gunnam, the film stars Genelia D’Souza and debutant Arun Adhith in the lead roles. The audio function was held on Monday, October 19, at State Art Gallery, Hyderabad.
The flick is directed by Srinivas Raga and is produced on Just Yellow Media Private Limited banner.
K. Raghavendra Rao, Krishna Vamsi, Rajamouli, Tammareddy Bharadwawja, Prakash Raj, KL Narayana, Suresh Babu, Ananth Sriram, Gunnam Gangaraju, MM Keeravani, Valli, Rama Rajamouli, Arun Adhith, Genelia, Raghubabu and others took part in the function.
Rajamouli anchored the event in an interesting manner. A skit was presented before the launch of the audio. A thread of the narration was formally started with a batch of guests, followed by two other groups. At last, Prakash Raj stood the winner in the contest. The film is set for release next month.

Kalyani's 'Chapter 6' music launched



Venkatesh, Rajashekar, Jagapathi Babu Dasari Narayana Rao and other bigwigs graced the audio launch of actress Kalyani’s maiden production Chapter 6. Directed by her hubby Sooriyakiran, the film stars Kalyani in lead role while Haranath and others act in pivotal roles. Kalyani has invited all the stars with whom she paired up with - Venkatesh (Vasantham), Rajashekar and Jeevitha (Seshu) and Jagapathi Babu (three films). Dasari Narayana Rao launched the audio albums and appreciated Kalyani for venturing into film production. He wished the director good luck. Venky who termed Kalyani as fine actress wished the same. Rajashekar and Jeevitha said they discouraged the Kalyani and her hubby from venturing into production, as it is a tough task and a headache.
Kalyani and her hubby later thanked all the stars that graced the event. Sooriya Kiran said the film is about six phases in love and romance.

Allu Arjun and Hansika back together!




Allu Arjun and Hansika are back together. Hansika who made debut opposite Allu Arjun inDesamuduru went on to become one of the most sought after actress in Tollywood. With a string of hits, Kantri and Maska, this rotund beauty is all set to be paired up with her first hero again. Buzz is that Hansika is being roped as heroine opposite Allu Arjun in his current multi-starrer movie, Vedam being directed by Krish of Gamyam fame. Although Hansika has not yet signed on the dotted line, she reportedly said yes when she was offered the role.
The film also stars Manchu Manoj and Anushka in the lead roles. Allu Arjun plays a mass character in this movie. 

Mahesh Babu begins shoot in Hyderabad



After a brief gap, Mahesh Babu has begun shooting for his current film again. The new schedule has commenced today (October 19th) in Hyderabad and it will continue till month end. And the unit will move on to Rajasthan and Vikarabad in November 1st week for a month long schedule. Meanwhile art director Anand Babu will design a village set in Rajasthan and Vikarabad.
Being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu, the film stars Anushka as heroine. Mani Sharma, has once again joined hands for this who also played a vital role for the success of the musical melodrama Athadu. Added to that is Sunil Patel’s unobtrusive camera work which will certainly be a visual treat. 

Pawan Kalyan's 'Puli' completes talkie part




Puli starring Pawan Kalyan in the direction of SJ Surya is under brisk shooting schedule. Made on Kanakaratna Movies banner and produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu, the film has completed its talkie portion as it gets ready for release.
Director SJ Surya said that the audience would see the power of a tiger in the characterization of Pawan Kalyan in the film titled as Puli. “I have full confidence that the film will create a big sensation in the film industry and would cross all the expectations of the audiences of all sections.”
Nikisha Patel is heroine for Pawan Kalyan. The star cast included Manoj Bajpai, Charanraj, Nazar, Jyothikrishna, Ali, Kovai Sarala, Girish Karnad and others.
AR Rahman is the music director; cinematography is by Binodh Pradhan, while Surya renders story, screenplay, dialogues and direction.

Balayya dances with Namitha at RFC




Balakrishna and Namitha are shaking legs for a catchy tune composed by Chakri. They are working together for first time for Simha, being directed by Boyapati Seenu. Currently at a special set erected at Ramoji Film City, Balakrishna and Namitha are shooting for the song. Namitha plays lead heroine role along with Sneha Ullal in the film. Another senior actress will be donning a key role in the movie.

The film is produced by Parachuri Kiriti and it is slated for Sankranthi release.

Bajarang Dal creates ruckus at 'Mahatma' office

Bajarang Dal today (October 14, 2009) today demanded an apology from director Krishnavamsi for hurting the sentiments of Hindus in his recently released Mahatma. Some members belonging to Bajarang Dal from Hyderabad staged dharna at Mahatma office in Filmnagar and demanded to delete the scenes. “Some scenes in the film ridiculed Hindus and hurt our sentiments. We want those scenes to be cut from the film immediately and Krishnavamsi and producer should offer apologies for hurting the Hindu sentiments,” they demanded. They put 24 hours deadline to react on their demands. 
There is a scene in the film where some Dal members protest against V.Day and force hero and heroine to get married and hero lashes at Dal members.

'Village Lo Vinayakudu' releases on Nov 5th



Sequel to super hit, Vinayakudu, is hitting the screens this November. Titled, Village Lo Vinayakudu, the film stars the original ‘Vinayakudu’ Krishnudu in the lead role and newcomer Sharanya Mohan as heroine. Directed by Sai Kiran Adivi and produced on Moona Water Pictures banner. The film is small on its budget but BIG in idea. As against Vinayakudu that was made in 2.4 Crores, Village Lo Vinayakudu, was shot in 1.39 crores. And the film is on the anvil of becoming the lowest budget movie of the year.
The film’s Audio CD, retailed at Rs.9.98, is the lowest in the Tollywood film history, and is also the single largest selling album of the year. 

Tollywood stars to host “Star Night” on Nov 7


To help the flood victims and raise funds, Movie Artists Association (MAA) has decided to do a charity show with the name of Spandana on November 7th. Announcing the details on October 13th at Jayabheri Club, MAA president Murali Mohan said that all the stars from Tollywood be attending the “Star Night” and would perform several programs.
“The funds raised from this show would be handed over to the flood victims. Rather than donating money individually, all of us stars have decided to help the victims collectively with huge funds,” he added. Hero Balakrishna who took the initiative, Mohan Babu, Dasari Narayana Rao, Jamuna, Venkatesh, NTR, Siddardh, Kalyan Ram, Tarun, Rajashekar, Jeevita, Naveen Vadde, Tarakarathna, Ramya Krishna, Jayasudha, Aryan Rajesh, Kota Srinivas Rao, Vijaya Nirmala, Venu Madhav, Ahuti Prasad, AVS and others graced the press meet.

A.R.Rehman to make album with K Viswanath in Telugu



Music maestro A.R.Rehman is all set to make a music album in Telugu under the guidance of legendary director K Vishwanath. Talking to reporters in Hyderabad today (Monday, October 12, 2009), Rehman informed that he has spoken with K.V. “We agreed to work together and will begin work for it shortly. Other than that I am doing a film in Telugu after a long time for Pawan Kalyan’s Puli,” he added. Rehman will be performing live at a concert in Hyderabad on October 24th. The concert, which was a part of Rahman’s world tour, is to be conducted by GMR group and would be dedicated to late YSR and revenues would be given to flood victims.

“Telugu people have great taste for good music. In initial stage of my career I worked with Telugu music directors like Koti and others. And I am great fan of Mr.K.Vishwanth and his films. I am happy to inform you that I will be working with him for an album soon,” Rehman said.

Ek Niranjan to have parody of Magadheera




Every one was wondering about the movie which will first depict the parody of blockbuster movieMagadheera. Now according to the sources, ace director Puri Jagannadh is doing a parody on Magadheera in his forthcoming film Ek Niranjan. This was revealed by none other than SS Rajamouli in an interview to a TV channel. Puri took the permission from Rajamouli before doing the parody.
The parody scenes in Ek Niranjan are canned on comedian Ali, which are said to be a special attraction to the film. Puri is said to have taken special care for the costumes of Ali to fit in the parody of Magadheera. Ek Niranjan stars Prabhas and Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on October 29th.

The sizzling star of the 90s has been showing all signs of returning to the marquee with her sustained presence at various fashion weeks. Interestingly, on Day One of the HDIL India Couture Week, Sridevi did not walk for her sister-in-law Maheep Kapoor, who was also showing her jewellery line but chose instead the designer who was showing immediately after her! 
In fact Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor were sitting in opposite rows. She was supposedly sporting a neckpiece we were to admire. But boy we completely missed that one!
