One more Legend Passed away--- Shammi Kapoor

Veteran Bollywood film actor Shammi Kapoor(79) died at 5.15 am today. .The actor had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital where he was undergoing treatment for Kidney failure and lung problems.And he died of renal failure.Kapoor was admitted into Breach Candy Hospital on 7th August, 2011 suffering from chronic renal failure.
He debuted in Bollywood with 'Jeevan Jyoti' in 1953 and ruled the silverscreen during the late 1950s and 1960s with his super-energetic performances. Kapoor starred in hits like Junglee, An Evening in Paris, Chinatown and Kashmir Ki Kali.Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted that with Kapoor's death the "flamboyance and joie de vivre of the [film] industry [was] lost".Fans called him the "Elvis Presley of India" for his frenetic and nifty dancing.Shammi Kapoor acted in not less than 100 films. He developed a style of his own and filmgoers came to the theatres just to see Shammi Kapoor's antics and mannerisms."With his infectious on-screen personality and energy, Shammi Kapoor was Bollywood's first Real Star.   BBC also says that "The actor was also a keen internet buff and amongst the first Indians to have a website of his own".He attended the opening ceremony of Web Jaint YAHOO's office in mumbai,there Kapoor was pleasantly surprised to hear the band playing his Yahoo song from the film Junglee.  Shammi was married to actress Geeta Bali who he said was the love of his live. She died of small pox during the filming of Teesri Manzil.They have two children - a son Aditya, and a daughter Kanchan. He later married Neela."In my younger days, I used to play the shehnai or would enact it to perfection. I think I can do it today, also," Shammi Kapoor had said, of the scene in which he was to play the shehnai and Ranbir the guitar."As a child, Ranbir would sit on my lap and sing classical music to me. He wasn't trained in that but did it just to bug me," the legendary actor said.Shammi Kapoor was the founder and chairman of Internet Users Community of India (IUCI). Vikramarkudu as Rowdy Rathord


Rowdy Rathod is a remake of S.S. Rajamouli’s Telugu 2006 film, Vikramarkudu. The Sanjay Leela produced film directed by Prabhu Deva is an intense action thriller in which Sonakshi will get to romance a small-time thief and crook (Akshay Kumar) who is crazy about acts of dare-devilry.
