All the best for this one folks!!!

Slumdog kids Hollywood journey again

Like silver lining, the news of another Hollywood project to Azhar Ismail’s family came as a blessing. The child actor of ‘Slumdog Millionaire (SM)’ Azhar Ismail had lost his father recently, owing to tuberculosis.
Now the kid has been approached by the makers of an international movie, titled 'Lord Owen's Lady'. Along with Azhar, his SM co-star, Rubina Ali too has been signed on. The film is based on a Welsh nobleman who falls in love with an Indian girl and sources say that well-known actor Sir Anthony Hopkins would be a part of this one. The movie is going to be shot in Wales and India.
On learning about his father’s demise, Martin Pennell the Executive Producer conveyed his condolence to Azhar and hoped this incident wouldn’t mar the child’s Hollywood career.

Mahatma trailer launched

Srikanth’s 100th film, Mahatma, under Krishna Vamsi’s direction is getting ready for release. The film is being produced by CR Manohar under Golden Lion Films banner. The theatrical trailer was launched on Monday, the September 7th at Film Nagar Cultural Centre, Hyderabad. Srikanth, Krishna Vamsi, producer CR Manohar, Paruchuri Brothers, etc., were a few prominent persons in the event.

Addressing the gathering Srikanth said, “When I approached Krishna Vamsi to direct my 100th film, he said that he would definitely do but we have to wait for a good story. Paruchuri Brothers penned script for my 1st film and now again for my 100th film too. Today, I am very happy that my 100th film is being made with a strong subject and the title, ‘Mahatma’. Now to talk about the producer of this film, he is a politician as well as my good friend. The rapport between us has led to a quality film and I’m very confident about the film’s success”.
Krishna Vamsi while speaking, “I always direct a film with a purpose and for my self-satisfaction. I’ve directed 16 films so far, but this is the first time I’ve prepared a script for a hero with the support from Parachuri Brothers. Another important thing to be noted is that I got full support from the producer as well. That is one reason the film’s output is very good. We are planning to release the audio on September 19 and the film on October 2nd”.
Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said, “When Krishna Vamsi told the storyline I was a little worried that it would turn into a documentary film. But this turned out to be an excellent film with violent hero turning into a non-violent person. This is the 1st time we have penned script for Krishna Vamsi’s film although we have acted in his films in the past. Like directors K Raghavendra Rao, B Gopal and Kodandarami Reddy, Krishna Vamsi too extracted from us to the maximum extent. ‘Mahatma’ will be a landmark in Srikanth’s career so as ‘Alluri Seetaramaraju’ for superstar Krishna, ‘Naa Desam’ for Late NTR and ‘Tagore’ for Chiranjeevi. We have penned script for Srikanth’s 1st film and now we got the opportunity in his 100th film. There is one lengthy dialogue on Mahatma Gandhiji which I am very sure will become popular and I am very confident about the film’s success too”.
“I am very happy to produce a film in Srikanth and Krishna Vamsi combination. I hope that this 100th film of Srikanth will run for 100 days successfully”, expressed producer CR Manohar.

Venkatesh as Ganga

After Lakshmi and Tulasi, Venkatesh will be called in another feminine name as Ganga. His new film in the direction of Amma Rajashekar is titled Ganga. Reveals Venky: “Currently I am working for Namo Venkatesha being directed by Srinu Vytla. After that I will start working for Ganga. We have finalized this title for this film. YSR into films

Dasari Narayana Rao is all set to make a movie on late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Rajshekar Reddy. The movie is said to be the total life history of Dr. Rajshekar and actor Mohan Babu is said to play the role of the late Chief Minister on reel.
The actor cum director has already produced many message oriented movies in order to enlighten the public. In this course, the versatile director is taking up the work to highlight the life story of YSR.
According to sources, there is a role still vacant for the character of YSR’s father and it is likely going to be played by super star Rajinikanth. Here, it can be noted that the combination of actor Mohan Babu and Superstar Rajinikanth was seen in the movie “Peddarayudu” and now the same combination is all set to get repeated.
The decision to make the film on YSR was taken long back by the actor turned politician Dasari. Now, he feels that the time has come to bring back YSR on screen. Mohan Babu will imitate the mannerisms of YSR and will also mix his own mannerism sin this movie. The movie will be directed and penned by Dasari and the rest of the star cast is yet to be discussed. Actress Sneha is also going to act in this movie and many lead actors from the Telugu and Tamil film industry will play pivotal roles in this film. Nizam Puli under Geeta Arts

Geeta Arts, the production and distribution house that has just delivered string of super hits with Ghajiniand Magadheera, has bagged the exhibition rights of Pawan Kalyan’s Puli. It has snapped the rights for Nizam area paying hefty amount. Generally Geeta Arts doesn’t distribute films other than its own productions. It has bagged the film as it is directed by S J Surya who gave career turning hit, Khushi, to Pawan Kalyan.
Puli is currently under progress and is expected to hit the screens in December. The film's release depends on A.R.Rehman who is scoring the music. Rehman is known for taking all the time for re-recording. So the final release date will be decided only in the November.

Ram Charan Tej in Tamil

Ram Charan Tej is set to make his debut in Tamil. His biggest hit, Magadheera, will be released in Tamil shortly with some minor changes. Recently, Arundhati,  was released in Tamil and it became big hit. So producer Allu Aravind is planning to partly remake it and release it in Tamil. Interestingly the title for this dubbed version is Maaveeran which is said to be Rajinikanth’s one of the famous films.
There would be few changes in the Tamil version like a separate comedy track by Vadivelu and Sri Hari’s role as Sher Khan will be played by either Sarath Kumar or Arjun.

Busy Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun is the only top hero in Tollywood who is doing three films simultaneously. While most heroes are trying hard to finish one film at a time, he is effortlessly working on two films at one go. So one wonders how would he do another film - a supposedly remake of a Hindi film at this time? Close associates of the star rubbish the rumors of Allu Arjun signing a Hindi remake. As of now, Allu Arjun has signed only the following films..

1. Aarya 2 (under progress)
2. Varudu (Gunashekar’s film is under progress)
3. Vedham (under progress)
4. Badrinath (V V Vinayak is the director and it will begin next year)

He has to finish all these films by 2010. After that he will be working in a ‘big film’ that is currently under discussion stage.

Mahesh will be as Kaleja or Kiladi

Two titles are finalized for Mahesh Babu’s current film. Sources close to director Trivikram informed us that Trivikram is thinking to title the movie as Kaleja (means daring attitude). Kaleja is very popular name in regular lexicon of general public. Then there is another title too is chosen - Kiladi. It remains to be seen which one will be finalized but Kaleja is the favorite one.
The film initially was to title as Varudu but Trivikram made changes to the script later. So it was scrapped up long ago which incidentally selected for Allu Arjun - Gunashekar’s film.

Meanwhile, sources also say that this movie will be made on a mega budget of Rs 40 crores and a bollywood actress will be roped in to fill in the glam quotient in the movie. Actor Balakrishna is said to appear in a cameo role in this film.
