Puri to direct film on YSR (Lokanayakudu)

The most popular leader of Andhra Pradesh late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy's life-story will be made in to a movie in Puri Jagannadh's direction. The title "Lokanayakudu" is almost confirmed for it. Actor Rajasekhar will be playing YSR's role in it. The flick's shooting will commence shortly. It is said that the close relations YSR had with the people of the State and some real life incidents would figure in the movie. The filming will be completed in a single schedule. 

Bhumika as Alivelu Manga

Looks like Bhumika is all set to create a record. She has been favorite for all the filmmakers in Telugu for heroine-oriented roles. From Missamma to the recent Mallepuvvu, she has been the first choice for filmmakers if they want to make a movie on women with guts. Now, director turned producer Teja too has zeroed in on her for his new production titled Alivelu Manga. Kodi Ramakrishna will direct this flick on a grand scale and it is about two gutsy young women taking up revolution.

Bhumika has signed on the film for one of the lead roles. Second heroine has still not yet been decided. Kalyani Malik is providing the music. Regular shoot commences shortly.

Anushka as item in Takita Takita

It is now slowly becoming a fashion for heroines to do item songs in films. The bubbly Charmy did an item son in Bhale Dongalu She was reportedly paid about 40 lakhs for a four minute item song. Charmy is now doing an item song for the Srikanth starrer Mahathma.

The top heroine Anushka  is now doing an item song in a film. The film is Thakita Thakita and is produced byBharat Thakur, the yoga guru husband of Bhumika.

Anushka is reportedly doing the item song as a mark of respect to her guru. Anushka learnt yoga from Bharat Thakur and hence he is her guru. 

Nag Unhappy with Josh

Naga Chaitanya’s debut film Josh which created hype, cools down within a week of its release as it fails to reach the expectations of Nag fans. It not only disappointed his fans but also the entire Akkineni family, especially Nagarjuna He believed that Dil Raju who is known as golden hand in the industry for giving life to many new artists, has failed to repeat his treat with Naga Chaitanya , the darling son of Nagarjuna It makes Nag feel regrets for putting his son in the hand of Dil Raju, without a second thought. Though, he is not fully responsible for the failure, Raju also said to be feeling guilty for his failure. But, it is too late to regret for anything.

Shamili gives out her decision

She brought tears to the eyes of even the coldest of hearts with her performance in 'Anjali'. She was barely two years old then. Now Shamili who is still known as Anjali Papa, has made her debut as a heroine.

She has acted in the flick 'Oy' which has turned out to be a profit grosser in the box office. She has a homely look in the movie and does not have any glamour.

Sources indicate that she has been appreciated for her looks in the movie. Now, sources close to Shamili reveal that she seems to have decided to stay away from glamorized roles and wants to maintain her homely image.

Also, Shamili is said to be continuing her education seriously which means hardly a film from her in the near future.

Mamta Mohandas with Nagarjuna again

Mamta Mohandas is back with a bang. After a gap of nearly one year, she has signed. Another biggie and again with Nagarjuna. She was last seen in Tollywood in Nagarjuna’s King and she has signed Nag’s current film again. Although she was disappointed with her role being relegated to guest appearance in King, Mamta is offered now main heroine role. Mamta Mohandas has begun shooting for Nagarjuan’s current film from today (Sept 14th) in Hyderabad. Earlier Chitrangadha Singh was considered for this film, but producer Shiva Prasad Reddy and new director Kiran have decided to cast Mamta as she is known figure in Telugu film industry.

This yet to be titled flick is now under progress and is slated for December release.

Romeo awaiting for release

Romeo' is the Telugu flick which has been directed by Ramakrishna and produced by Srinivas. The movie was supposed to release few months before but it has been delayed for some reasons.

Now the sources indicate that the movie is all set to release. It stars Aryan Rajesh who has been looking for a hit, in the lead. Pairing opposite him is the saucy seductress Shraddha Arya.

Even real star Srihari is doing an important role in the movie. Slated to be an interesting romantic entertainer mixed with adventure, the release date of the movie is yet to be announced.

This is a crucial one for both Rajesh and Shraddha since both need a hit to make their presence strong in the industry.

NTR & Vinayak film in December

The unit of NTR’s latest flick in VV Vinayak’s direction had recently been abroad to shoot a couple of songs. At present some prominent scenes are being canned at Kumbakonam. The next schedule is planned in Kolkata where few more scenes along with fights will be shot.

NTR is playing a dual role sharing screen with Nayantara and Sheela. Mahesh Manjrekar is playing the villain. This mass cum action entertainer is most likely to release in first week of December.

Apart from NTR’s performance, fights and dances, Chota K Naidu’s colourful camera and Devisri Prasad’s earful music will be the main attractions. Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan is producing the film under Vaishnavi Arts banner. Kodali Nani is presenting it.

New scenes added to Magadheera

As Magadheera is successfully heading towards 50 days, producer Allu Aravind has decided to add some more scenes to the existing film. Due to length problems, some key scenes were chopped off. So those deleted scenes involving Ram Charan Tej, Srihari, and Kajal are now going to be added. From next week,Magadheera will have more runtime than the current 2 hours 45 minutes.

As the film became huge hit, producer Allu Aravind believes this extra footage would bring in repeated audiences and sustain the film till 100 days. Magadheera already has become biggest hit of Tollywood

Sharwanand as Andari bhandhuvaya.

Chandra Siddartha-Sharwanand film titled as Andaribhanduvaya. Padmapriya plays the herione role in the film. The film made under Filmotsav banner completed the 80 percent shooting so far informed the producer - Director Chandra Siddhartha.

The film has a romantic love angle, but also touches the human emotions in a big way says Chandrasiddhartha. The film completes the entire shooting by the month end. The films also stars Naresh, Krishna baghavan, Vijay aryan, M.S.Narayana, RK etc. Anup rubens scores the music.

'Ganesh' audio launched

Music of Ganesh starring Ram and Kajal in the lead roles was launched today (Sep10)  at Ramanaidu Studios. Hero NTR was the chief guest. Ram, Dil Raju, D Suresh Babu, B Gopal, Mickey J Mayor, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Koti, Saravanan, Ramajogayya Sastry, Mahesh Kumar, Suchitra, Hari Anumolu, Dayanand and others attended the ceremony.

NTR commented, “Ram is high charged energetic hero who acts and dances with much ease in his body language. The stills of Ram speak the volumes of this film. Mickey J Mayor has once again come up with some interesting tracks.” 

Recollecting his shooting experiences Ram said, “This is one film which I enjoyed the most. We shot this film for about 3 months and this is the first time I have spent my entire shooting schedules with kids. I am very lucky to get one such subject at the time I was searching for some good films. Mickey J Mayor has provided the fabulous music. I am very confident about the film’s success.” 

Mickey J Mayor said that he is very excited about the film. He said that he was present at the shooting spot where the songs were picturised in Switzerland. 

Director Saravanan too expressed his happiness for the film’s output and said that music is the highlight of the film. 

Koti opined that a good musician like Mickey J Mayor should do more number of films in a year. He hoped that ‘Ganesh’ would be as big hit as Sri Sravanthi Movies’ ‘Ready’. 

B Gopal also opined that the music and film would be very big hits. He commented, energetic hero like Ram, hungry producer like Ravi Kishore, who is eager to provide films with good subjects and the new director with good visual sense put together is bringing a good film.

Kurradu music launched By Ram Charan

Music of Kurradu starring Varun Sandesh and Neha Sharma in the lead roles was launched today (September 10, 2009). A special ceremony was held at Prasad labs and hero Ram Charan Tej who graced the event as chief guest launched the audio albums. Puri Jagannadh received the first album. Audio CDs were unveiled by director Rajamouli and Keeravani received from the first cd. The film is produced by Anandi Arts and directed by debutant Sandeep Gunnam. Varun Sandesh who is in USA for a shooting of the film could not attend the audio launch but heroine Neha Sharma was present. Kori, Keeravani, Ramesh Prasad and others too graced the event.

Ram Charan wished the team all the best. “I know Sandeep for a long time. When I came to know that he went for Los Angeles for film studies, I thought he might settle there. Thankfully, he is back to here and making debut in Telugu as director. I am sure he would live up to the expectations he carries as his father Gunnam Gangaraju made some of the memorable films. Varun Sandesh is a good friend and it is nice to see him in a mass oriented role for the first time,” Charan said.

Puri informed that the film’s title Kurradu was his original choice for his film with Ram Charan Tej. “I wanted to put it as Kurradu with the tagline of Low Class. But we came up with the name Chirutha later. I still like this title Kurradu. I am sure this film would succeed in big way,” Puri said.

Rajamouli said: “Kurralloyi Kurraloyi is one of my all time favorite songs. I liked this new version in this film also this other melody played here is also good. I wish music director Achchu all the best. He has given good music in his first film.”

Keeravani informed that the music director Achchu is son of his guru Rajavannan. “I learnt a lot from his father. So I am confident that Achchu would make his name in music industry,” he wished.

Ninnu Kalisaka Audio released

Prestigious production house Usha Kiran Movies is producing a film with newcomers for yet another time. Shiva Nageshwara Rao who is known for comedies is directing the new film titled Ninnu Kalisaka. Its music was recently launched by producer Ramoji Rao in a simple ceremony at Ramoji Film City. He handed over the first audio album to director Shiva Nageshwara Rao. Composed by newcomer Sunil Kashyap, the film has six songs.

Later on each of the six songs were formally launched by various film celebrities. Jodi of celebrities like Keeravani – Chandrabose; Rajamouli – Rama Rajamouli; Tarun – V N Aditya; Vishnu – YVS Chowdhary; Krish – Manoj; Jagapathi Babu – Madan launched each of the six songs. 

Bumper Offer audio on Sept 11

The audio release function of ‘Bumper Offer’ featuring Sairam Shankar and Bindu Madhavi is all set to release on September 11. This is the 1st audio launch for Puri Sangeeth company. The movie is directed by Jaya Ravindra and produced by Puri Jagannath under Vaishno Academy banner. Famous singer Raghu Kunche is trying his hand on music composition for the first time in ‘Bumper Offer’

After the super duper success of ‘Magadheera’ Ram Charan Teja is all set to do his next movie in the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar. It is well aware that Bhaskar is going to show Ram Charan as a playboy in this film and sources claim the title to be ‘Orange’. Genelia is pairing with Ram Charan and the film is most likely to be launched in the US in this month only. Harris Jayaraj will compose the tunes. This movie under Anjana Productions banner has Nagababu as producer.

Maryada Ramanna starts from Sep 20

Cinematographer Shyam K Naidu has teamed up with top director S S Rajamouli. Shyam K Naidu who helmed some of the biggest hits like Pokiri has long association with Puri Jagannadh. For the first time, he is working with Rajamouli for film Maryada Ramanna. After delivering all time biggest hit, Magadheera, the star director is now beginning this small film, Maryada Ramanna, with comedian Sunil in the lead role. The film’s pooja was held two months back but the regular shoot begins from September 3rd week.

Earlier, Chota K Naidu was to film the movie but as Chota is busy with NTR-Vinayak’s film, Shyam K Naidu has been roped in. Rajamouli generally prefers his father Vijayendra Prasad’s script but this time he has taken the script from Kaanchi who also associated with Vijayendra Prasad for a long time. The film’s basic idea belongs to Mullapudi Vara but Kaanchi does the complete script.

Rajamouli departs from his usual heavy-emotional mass entertainers and is focusing on hilarious comedy this time. Maryada Ramanna promises to be an hilarious entertainer.
