Varudu first look

Veera

Ravi Teja is all set to appear as Veera, a warrior, in Tolly2Holly’s next production in the direction of Ramesh Varma. Fresh from the success of Ride, Ramesh Varma is starting this big budgeted film in summer 2010. The first look is here. The film has great crew including hotshot music director Devi Sri Prasad composing songs and Sam K Naidu handling the camera. Parachuri Brothers pen the dialogues. Ganesh Indukuri is producing it.

The first look of ace director Gunashekar's current film, Varudu, with Allu Arjun has been released. Till now no official still was leaked out. The film's logo was released today (Friday, January 22, 2010). "We are happy with the film's out come. It would be another hit in our combination after Desamuduru. Gunashekar is making this film as an all-round entertainer that caters to varied sections of audiences. We are planning to release this summer," Danaiah, producer of the film, said.
Gunashekar praised Allu Arjun for giving knockout performance. "His acting skills will be talked for a long time in the movie. And also Tamil actor Arya's performance would be praised by one and all. We are making it with high technical values and rich production values with 100 real families participating in the shoot," Gunashekar said. It has music by Manisharma.

Allari MLA

Allari Naresh has signed a movie with Bindaas' production house AK Entertainment Banner.  The film is titled MLA, the acronym for Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi.  Debutante director Veerabhadram Chowdary will wield the megaphone.

As Bendu Apparao and Malli in Shambo Shiva Shambo, Naresh proved that he can dabble in sentimental, comedy and emotional roles with ease.  Now, you can expect a good performance as an absolutely good guy character in MLA.

Srihari is playing the most important supporting actor of the film.  It may be noted that this is just another film in his kitty.

He is a happier lot these days, as he has already got K Vishwanath's Sumadhuram and another project with director Vamshi in hand.  Though these are not big releases, given that there is not much hype surrounding them as yet and also as the once-front line directors have not been delivering hits in recent times, they are special to him as the roles he is playing in these films are distinct.

Bumper Offer for Raghu

Ever since his Ravanamma number rode the chartbusters in 2009, Raghu Kunche has been a busy musician.  He has two films with Allari Naresh alone lined up.  If in the last month he was signed for 'Betting Bangarraju', in the New Year, yet another Naresh film has come his way.

Titled MLA, the producers have roped in Raghu Kunche as music director.  Besides the two noteworthy ones, there are a slew of other films, small and medium-budgeted, in his kitty.  Which means that Kunche is slowly turning out to be the next big one after Mickey J Meyer et al.

There was also news that he was chosen as the music director of 'Golimaar'.  'Bumper Offer' brought him more offers than any one had imagined.  As a singer, Kunche did prove his mettle.  He then moved on to anchoring, where he made a successful, albeit brief, stint, all owing to his spontaneity.

As a musician, he is sure destined to make strides.

Prabhu into Telugu Films

After Satyaraj, his best pal in Tamil filmdom, Ilayathilagam Prabhu is also setting foot in Tollywood. Karunakaran, the maker of films like Toli Prema, Ullasanga Uthsahanga and Balu ABCDEFG, is roping in Prabhu for an important role in his forthcoming film Darling. Prabhas and Kajal Agharwal play the romantic leads in this film.

We know the actor for his roles in movies like Chandramukhi.  The actor may not be familiar to the audience as much as his contemporaries, but he has already been signed by 'Bommarillu' Bhaskar for his film with Ram Charan.

The Telugu audience have always liked intense character actors imported from other industries.  In fact, whenever top Tamil heroes like Rajinikanth and Sarath Kumar have done significant supporting roles in our movies, they met up with immense fame and success. Let's see if Prabhu enlivens the trend.

Leader ??????????????????????????

When was the last time you heard about Leader's date of release?  The last time we heard about it was when it was postponed at the time of the Christmas eve, when the producers said they were planning to release it on the Sankranthi day.

There has been no official confirmation about the release date ever.  The movie, reportedly made at a big cost, is one of the most-awaited movies, in which Rana Daggubati is debuting as an actor.  It is learnt that director Shekar Kammula is making some changes to the script and also re-filming some scenes.

Reasons for the undue delay are exactly not known, but the film may release only in February.  The audio, released in December, has music by Mickey J Meyer.  Usually,  there is not more than a month's gap between the audio and theatrical release.

The AVM movie is a political drama, which Mr. Kammula has made with passion.  Let's hope it comes before us very soon and turns out to be a super hit.

Charan said yes to Dharani

Ram Charan Tej is currently acting in Orange that is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. His next film will be directed by popular mass Tamil director Dharani. this film will be produced by Mega Supergood films banner.

Magadheera Completed 175 Days

Magadheera movie which is the biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema completed 175 days today. It ran for 50 days in 302 centers and 100 days in 225 centers. It is an all India record. The movie’s 175-days run is affected in Telangana area due to ban on Magadheera. However, Magadheera has successfully completed 175 days run in  all other places

Lakshmi Prasanna is ready for acting

Lakshmi Prasanna, daughter of Mohan Babu is making her debut in Telugu. Lakshmi will be playing a negative role in Siddharth’s upcoming flick which is being directed by K Raghavendra Rao’s son K S Prakash. The film is being produced by Raghavendra Rao. Sruthi Hassan is playing the female lead in the film opposite Siddharth. Well, this seems that the lady is moving in the foot steps of her dad, Mohan babu who started off his career with negative roles

Dubai Seenu Now turned into DON Sreenu

Ravi Teja’s Don Seenu under the production house R.R Movie Makers will be hitting the floors from 25th, January. R R movie makers had earlier given a super hit film Kick with Ravi Teja.

Gopichand Malineni is making his debut as a director with this film. Venkat is producing the film.

Though Ravi teja has signed up other two films, this would be first priority one which will hit the floors.Trisha will be playing the female lead in the movie. Although there was news that Anushka is playing the lead role, finally Trisha was roped in. The total schedule will be wrapped up by the month of June.

Kedi is coming on feb 12

The Jr. NTR film Adhurs was blocked from being released in Nizam and the film was not allowed to be screened for the first day at many places in Telangana. Now the ‘T’ agitators have turned their attention on the soon to be released film of hero Nagarjuna – ‘Kedi’. They are threatening to block the screening of the film in Telangana. Kedi is slated to hit the screens on February 12. It remains to be seen how Nagarjuna will resolve this problem now.

Music director Ramana Gogula arrested

Hyderabad city crime station police on Thursday arrested well known music director Ramana Gogula in connection with a cheating case. Details regarding the cheating case are yet to be known.

Ramana Gogula debuted to Tollywood with 'Premante Idhera' and later delivered many musical hits like 'Thammudu, Badri, Johnny, Lakshmi & Annavaram.' He recently formed his own production house and made "Boni" with Sumanth and sources say that this movie has incurred huge losses resulting financial troubles to Gogula

Ranas Leader Logo Launch On Nov 4th

Rana Daggubati, grandson of producers Dr D Ramanidu and son of D Suresh Babu, is  making his Telugu cinema debut with Leader under Sekhar Kammula’s direction.

Now According to Film Nagar Sources Daggupati Family is planing to Launch the logo Of  Rana's Flick Leader in a grand Style on November 4th. 

The film’s launch was held at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on January 21. It was a private affair and the media was not invited. Venkatesh, Ramanaidu, Naga Chaitanya and other family members of Ramanaidu attended the launch.

Following this, shooting began on sets at Pedanandipaadu village, specifically the Padanandipaadu Arts and Science college. Scenes involving college students and politics were shot. 

Although everyone involved with the making of the movie has stayed mum on the subject, my sources tell me that it is a political thriller along the lines of Mani Rathnam’s Yuva.

Ram Charan Orange launch in grand style

The formal launch of Ram Charan's upcoming film Orange was held at Novotel in grand style. Chiranjeevi, Dasari Narayana Rao, Venkatesh, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Bommarillu Bhaskar, Rana, Nagababu, Puri Jagannath, Krish, SS Rajamouli, VV Vinayak, Seenu Vytla, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Gemini Kiran, Surender Reddy, KL Narayana, B Gopal, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Meher Ramesh, Vamsi Paddipally, Dil Raju, Allu Sirish and Srikanth were some of the prominent personalities who graced the occasion.

Orange is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Genelia plays the main female lead opposite Ram Charan. Kajal plays a pivotal role in the film. The film is produced by K Nagababu on Anjana Productions banner. Harish Jayaraj composes music for the film.Cinematography is by Kiran reddy of Naach fame and stunts is by Peter Heins.

Katha' audio launched in unique style

Hero NTR graced the audio launch of Katha. Produced by Urmila Gunnam, the film stars Genelia D’Souza and debutant Arun Adhith in the lead roles. The audio function was held on Monday, October 19, at State Art Gallery, Hyderabad.

The flick is directed by Srinivas Raga and is produced on Just Yellow Media Private Limited banner.

K. Raghavendra Rao, Krishna Vamsi, Rajamouli, Tammareddy Bharadwawja, Prakash Raj, KL Narayana, Suresh Babu, Ananth Sriram, Gunnam Gangaraju, MM Keeravani, Valli, Rama Rajamouli, Arun Adhith, Genelia, Raghubabu and others took part in the function.

Rajamouli anchored the event in an interesting manner. A skit was presented before the launch of the audio. A thread of the narration was formally started with a batch of guests, followed by two other groups. At last, Prakash Raj stood the winner in the contest. The film is set for release next month.

Kalyani's 'Chapter 6' music launched

Venkatesh, Rajashekar, Jagapathi Babu Dasari Narayana Rao and other bigwigs graced the audio launch of actress Kalyani’s maiden production Chapter 6. Directed by her hubby Sooriyakiran, the film stars Kalyani in lead role while Haranath and others act in pivotal roles. Kalyani has invited all the stars with whom she paired up with - Venkatesh (Vasantham), Rajashekar and Jeevitha (Seshu) and Jagapathi Babu (three films). Dasari Narayana Rao launched the audio albums and appreciated Kalyani for venturing into film production. He wished the director good luck. Venky who termed Kalyani as fine actress wished the same. Rajashekar and Jeevitha said they discouraged the Kalyani and her hubby from venturing into production, as it is a tough task and a headache.

Kalyani and her hubby later thanked all the stars that graced the event. Sooriya Kiran said the film is about six phases in love and romance.

Allu Arjun and Hansika are back together. Hansika who made debut opposite Allu Arjun inDesamuduru went on to become one of the most sought after actress in Tollywood. With a string of hits, Kantri and Maska, this rotund beauty is all set to be paired up with her first hero again. Buzz is that Hansika is being roped as heroine opposite Allu Arjun in his current multi-starrer movie, Vedam being directed by Krish of Gamyam fame. Although Hansika has not yet signed on the dotted line, she reportedly said yes when she was offered the role.

The film also stars Manchu Manoj and Anushka in the lead roles. Allu Arjun plays a mass character in this movie. 

Mahesh Babu begins shoot in Hyderabad

After a brief gap, Mahesh Babu has begun shooting for his current film again. The new schedule has commenced today (October 19th) in Hyderabad and it will continue till month end. And the unit will move on to Rajasthan and Vikarabad in November 1st week for a month long schedule. Meanwhile art director Anand Babu will design a village set in Rajasthan and Vikarabad.

Being directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu, the film stars Anushka as heroine. Mani Sharma, has once again joined hands for this who also played a vital role for the success of the musical melodrama Athadu. Added to that is Sunil Patel’s unobtrusive camera work which will certainly be a visual treat. 

Pawan Kalyan's 'Puli' completes talkie part

Puli starring Pawan Kalyan in the direction of SJ Surya is under brisk shooting schedule. Made on Kanakaratna Movies banner and produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu, the film has completed its talkie portion as it gets ready for release.

Director SJ Surya said that the audience would see the power of a tiger in the characterization of Pawan Kalyan in the film titled as Puli. “I have full confidence that the film will create a big sensation in the film industry and would cross all the expectations of the audiences of all sections.”

Nikisha Patel is heroine for Pawan Kalyan. The star cast included Manoj Bajpai, Charanraj, Nazar, Jyothikrishna, Ali, Kovai Sarala, Girish Karnad and others.

AR Rahman is the music director; cinematography is by Binodh Pradhan, while Surya renders story, screenplay, dialogues and direction.

Balayya dances with Namitha at RFC

Balakrishna and Namitha are shaking legs for a catchy tune composed by Chakri. They are working together for first time for Simha, being directed by Boyapati Seenu. Currently at a special set erected at Ramoji Film City, Balakrishna and Namitha are shooting for the song. Namitha plays lead heroine role along with Sneha Ullal in the film. Another senior actress will be donning a key role in the movie.

The film is produced by Parachuri Kiriti and it is slated for Sankranthi release.
