Anand Ranga to direct Rana second film
Anand Ranga, who shot of fame with the film Oy! is expected to direct Rana's(Grandson ofD.Ramanaidu and son of Suresh Babu) second venture. The film will be produced by Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner.
Meanwhile, Rana's debut film Leader in the direction of Sekhar Kammula is scheduled to release for Sankranthi. Priya Anand and Richa are doing female leads. The prestigious production house AVM is producing this film.
Puri Jagannath to direct Amitabh Bachchan
Crazy director Puri Jagannath is all set to direct Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan very soon. It is said that Amitabh got impresssed with the script narrated by Puri and immediately given his nod to do the film. This film will go to sets in 2010 as both of them were busy with their earlier commitments.
Meanwhile, Puri's upcoming film starring Prabhas and Kangana Ranaut in the lead is due to release on October 29th.

Hansika with Pak Cricket player Shoib
One can’t expect a love affair between a Tollywood hot babe and Pakistan Cricketer. Hansika Motwani, one of the hot girls of Tollywood has finally agreed to romance with Pakistan Cricket player Shoyab Akthar for aBollywood film ‘Mein aur Meri Himmat,’ after the film makers ‘ Nisha Creations agreed to pay her Rs.2 Crore as her remuneration.
Recently, the shooing of the film begins at a studio in Film City in Mumbai. Though, the smart Hansika squeezes huge amounts from the producers, she is playing an innocent village girl role in this film. Pakistan Cricketer Shoyab Akthar is playing as a Pakistani cricketer role, who falls in love with Hansika during his visit to India. The film is directed by Sangamitra.
Darling Going to Switzerland
Darling” is Prabhas’ upcoming movie with Karunakaran, the director of super hit movie “Toli Prema.” Prabhas will be romancing Kajal Agarwal in the movie. BVNS Prasad (producer of the movie Chatrapati) is producing the movie. GV Prakash is scoring music.
“Darling” is said to be an unusual love story, which people can easily connect to it. The story is said to make people mull over real life incidents that happen to them when they fall in love. Tamil actor Prabhu will be playing a key role in this film.
As part of the shooting of the second schedule of “Darling,” the film unit will be soon flying to Switzerland on 28 September. It is said that few scenes, a fight and two songs will be shot in picturesque locales in Switzerland.

Kunche Raghu to score music for 'Golimaar'
Singer Kunche Raghu who just made debut as music director with his very debut film, Bumper Offer, has bagged a biggie. He will be composing music for Puri Jagannadh’s next film, Golimaar, which stars Gopichand in a lead role. As his songs composed for Bumper Offer became instant hit, Puri Jagannadh has offered him to score music for Golimaar too.
Raghu who sang songs for most of the compositions by Chakri in Puri’s earlier films is slowly becoming regular music director in Puri camp replacing Chakri’s place. Will he strike gold with Golimaar? Let’s wait and see.
Kalyani turns producer
Actress Kalyani who married to director Surya Kiran is making come back as actress as well as turning as producer. She is producing a film titled Chapter 6 in the direction of her hubby. Kalyani plays the lead role while newcomers Bala and Soni are playing romantic pair. Bala is brother of director Shiva (of Shankamand Sowryam) while Soni Suri is sister to Miss India Natasha Suri.
“We have completed the shooting part and planning to the release movie shortly. The film tells about six aspects of love with each aspect representing a colour - Blue, Red, White, Black, Orange, and Yellow,” director Surya Kiran said.
Music is composed by newcomers P C Shivan and Mohan Sitara.

Arya 2 Coming in the Second Week of October

Allu Arjun’s “Arya 2,” a sequel to his super hit movie “Arya” is getting ready for release. The movie is expected to hit the screens in the second week of October. Currently, post production works are in progress.
“Arya 2” is coming with a tagline “Baby He Loves You.” Kajal Agarwal is playing the lead female role. The movie also stars another pair – Navadeep and Shradda Das.
Sukumar , who directed “Arya” is once again directing “Arya 2.” Aditya Babu is producing the movie under Adity Arts Banner. Music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad.

Asin gets bedridden for two weeks
Asin Thottumkal is advised to stay on bed for two long weeks as she got operated in the “ Koliben Ambani Hospital” or sinus surgery. It has been reported that the squint eyed beauty had a sinoscopy which was meant for brief sinus problems which was operated by a well experienced team of doctors on Monday morning.
Asin was diagnosed with the sinus problem early last month as she got irritating allergic cold with acute sinus making her nostrils blocked. Though the surgery was done through nostrils avoiding any kind of cuts on her skin, the doctors team have advised the Malayalam beauty to take complete rest for 7 days and then to stay at home for another week.

Tushar Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, came down to Hyderabad to unveil the music albums of Telugu film, Mahatma, a film named on the father of the nation. Tushar Gandhi launched the audio ceremony and unveiled the first album and handed over the cassettes to the celebrities who graced the event. As Mahatma is Srikanth’s 100th film, the audio launch ceremony was held today (Sep 21, 2009) in grand manner at Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad.Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mohan Babu, Ravi Teja, Allu Arjun, Tarun, Charmee, Allu Aravind, Brahmanandam, S S Rajamouli, Mutyala Subbaiah, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and several other bigwigs from Tollywood graced the ceremony.
Tushar Gandhi said this film rightly focuses on the importance of Gandhian values in today’s society. “I see superstars and other big celebrities but the ultimate star in India is Gandhi. I appreciate Krishnavamsi for making this socially relevant film and I wish Srikanth a great success on his 100th effort as actor,” he said.
Directed by Krishnavamsi and produced by C R Manohar, Mahatma has music by Vijay Antony. Mohan Babu in his speech recalled his film with Srikanth – Tappu Chesi Pappukoodu. “It was not a big success but I had good experiences with Srikanth. He is genuinely good person and I wish him a great success. I have been asking Krishnavamsi to give me a good character to him because one of the few directors I like to work with,” Mohan Babu complemented.
Venkatesh said Srikanth is the only actor who is friends with the entire industry. “I have great working relationship with him apart from good friendship. We worked together in three films – Kondapalli Raja, Abbaigaaru, and Sankranthi. I wish him all the best on this rare feat of completing 100 films as actor,” Venky wished.
Allu Arjun wondered how a hero can complete 100 films in the current competent environment. “It is nice to Srikanth achieving this,” Allu said.
Rajamouli said he likes Srikanth as actor but could not able to work with him. “Regarding this film, I can only say only Krishnavamsi can dream a script like this. If directors like me offered a film on Gandhism, we would be running away of it as we don’t have guts like him to pull it off. He has always been like this. When I met him during the time of Ninne Pelladuta to assist him, he asked me to write dialogues. He has such daring attitude to ask an assistant director to pen the dialogues,” Rajamouli recalled.
Charmee, Nagarjuna, Ravi Teja, Tarun and others wished Srikanth and Krishnavamsi a great success.
Ajay's 'Saarayi Veerraju' audio launched
Music of Ajay and Ramya Nambisian starrer Saarayi Veerraju was launched today (September 21, 2009) at Prasad Labs Preview Theatre, Hyderabad. The film has 10 songs composed by newcomer Sree Sai and each of the guest who graced the event played the song there. The audio albums were unveiled by S S Rajamouli. Directed by Rajamouli’s associate Kannan, the film is produced by Vishalakshi Creations.
Rajamouli praised Kannan for his command over visuals. “He presents visuals so strongly on to the screen. He worked with me for films like Vikramarkudu and apart from Kannan, hero Ajay and other crew are mostly associated with me, so it feels like I am attending my own film’s function,” Rajamouli said.
Director Krish who also graced the event said Kannan is a good writer. “He helped me a lot when I was doing Gamyam.”
Meher Ramesh said Kannan has helped him in Billa and is also doing for my next film with NTR. “He’s dear friend and a good script writer,” he said.

Nayantara to pair opposite MS Raju's son
Producer-turned-director MS Raju, who has earlier delivered many Blockbusters is now all set to launch his son Sumanth. Hot beauty Nayantara is expected to be paired opposite Sumanth in this big budgeted film.
Though, Sumanth was supposed to make his debut in a movie directed by Teja. The film has been shelved for unknown reasons.

Tagore Madhu purchases the entire AP rights of Mahatma
Tagore Madhu, the producer of ‘Tagore’ and co-producer of 'Stalin' and 'Ghajini' (Hindi) has purchased the distribution rights of ‘Mahatma’ for entire AP. The film is all set the release on Oct 2nd, the Gandhi Jayanthi Day. ‘Mahatma’ is Srikanth’s 100th film directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by Manohar. Bhavana is pairing with Srikanth for the first time. Srikanth Deva, the Tamil music director is composing the tunes. Audio launch is taking place on Sept 19th. Chief Minister Rosaiah and PRP leader Chiranjeevi are the chief guests of the function.
Samantha opposite Chaitanya
Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya who made debut in Josh has already begun working for his second film. Chaitanya is currently shooting for his new film under the direction of Gowtham Menon. Nayanatara stars opposite Surya in this film which is directed by K S Ravi Kumar. Chandana Ramesh, MLA from Rajamundry, has bagged the rights for Telugu and he is releasing it on his banner CNR Creations.
Yesteryear actress B Saraoja Devi is playing a key role. “Almost after two decades, she is making comeback to the silver screen,” said producer Ramesh. Surya appears in various getups that include as 12-year-old kid. Haaris Jayaraj has composed the music and music will be launched at the month end. “We are planning to release the movie by next month end,” he added.

No plans to remake Magadheera in Hindi
Director S S Rajamouli has cleared the rumors of remaking Magadheera in Hindi. When asked about the possibility of he remaking the blockbuster into Bollywood, Rajamouli denied the news. “I want to make it clear that it was true that producer Allu Aravind approached me for remaking it in Hindi and but I didn’t agree to it,” Rajamouli stated. He also said that there would be no sequel to this, as this film has no scope for further extension.
He was speaking at press meet today (Sep 18) conducted by EFX Team of Prasad Labs that that did all the special effects and CG work for the movie at Mumbai and Chennai. They showed the media the work that they have done for the film including ‘Palace set’ and other sequences. Ramesh Prasad of Prasad Labs, Sai Prasad of EFX, Kamal Kannan, special effects director and others participated in the press meet. Miss India Testing Her Luck in Tollywood once Again

A sequel for the yester year Super hit film ‘Ladies Tailor’ is coming in the combination of mass hero Ravitejaand Ace director Vamsi. ‘Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailor’ is the title fixed for this comedy entertainer. Veteran actor Tanikella Bharani , who is also a popular story writer, will provide dialogues for this film.

Kalyan Ram New Film
After giving two surprise hits like ‘Athanokkade’ and ‘Hare Ram’ NTR Arts banner is coming up with yet another film which is right now in final stages. Kalyan Ram starring this untitled film has Hansika Motwani as heroine and a debutant Naresh as director. Currently the last schedule of shooting is being held at Hyderabad and on other hand the post productions are going on simultaneously. Kalyan Ram, the hero cum producer is planning to bring the film to theaters in October. The release date will be announced shortly. Thaman is scoring the music and Dasaradhi Sivendra is handling the camera. Nandamuri Souryaram is presenting the film.

Puri to direct film on YSR (Lokanayakudu)
The most popular leader of Andhra Pradesh late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy's life-story will be made in to a movie in Puri Jagannadh's direction. The title "Lokanayakudu" is almost confirmed for it. Actor Rajasekhar will be playing YSR's role in it. The flick's shooting will commence shortly. It is said that the close relations YSR had with the people of the State and some real life incidents would figure in the movie. The filming will be completed in a single schedule.
Bhumika as Alivelu Manga
Looks like Bhumika is all set to create a record. She has been favorite for all the filmmakers in Telugu for heroine-oriented roles. From Missamma to the recent Mallepuvvu, she has been the first choice for filmmakers if they want to make a movie on women with guts. Now, director turned producer Teja too has zeroed in on her for his new production titled Alivelu Manga. Kodi Ramakrishna will direct this flick on a grand scale and it is about two gutsy young women taking up revolution.
Bhumika has signed on the film for one of the lead roles. Second heroine has still not yet been decided. Kalyani Malik is providing the music. Regular shoot commences shortly.
